Master of knot weaving with 40 years of experience. I received the basics of weaving and lace-making from my grandmother on my mother’s side.
In the 80s, Olga Alekseevna already taught “Macrame” in the House of Pioneers. Perfectly mastering the technique of knotting, creates stunning beauty of jewelry, household items, curtains, paintings and even icons.
The face and hands for each of the icons, according to an individual sketch, are painted by the iconographer on canvas. Then, from linen or cotton thread, by tying millions of knots by hand, without the use of needles or a hook, the master weaves the salary of the icon .Knot after knot is arranged in a unique pattern. The saint’s vestment is laid out thread by thread and decorated with knotted weaving. Each work is in a single copy.
Olga studies, preserves the craft traditions of her ancestors, introduces her own characteristics characteristic of her creative handwriting, thereby prolonging their lives, and possibly creates traditions herself.
He is a multiple Laureate and Diploma Holder International and All-Russian festivals and competitions.
